Cycle Monitoring in Durham, Canada

At CReATe Durham Fertility cycle monitoring for Invitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intra-uterine insemination (IUI) are performed. Cycle monitoring includes several ultrasounds and blood tests for hormone analysis to track natural cycles and the effectiveness of reproductive medications for stimulating ovaries for egg production or fertilization. It is vital for all reproductive procedures, such as IVF egg retrieval, IUI insemination, and natural fertility treatment.

For patients at the beginning of their menstrual cycle, please schedule your appointment online. All cycle monitoring visits begin between Day 2 -to- 3 of your menstrual cycle. Subsequent cycle monitoring visits are coordinated with your care team accordingly.

At CReATe Durham Fertility, to support your natural fertility, Invitro Fertilization (IVF), or Intra-uterine insemination (IUI) journey, a detailed cycle motoring or tracking plan is provided. To assist with time-saving and visit planning, we recommend scheduling advance appointments.

Cycle Monitoring for In-vitro Fertilization (IVF):

During IVF, your first visit will include providing medical consent, discussing pricing information, and providing medication instructions for the development of the follicles in your ovaries. This appointment will consist of bloodwork, an ultrasound, and a discussion with your fertility specialist to evaluate your fertility medication and address any concerns.

Your fertility specialist may recommend scheduling cycle monitoring appointments between Days 2 and 12 of your cycle. Subsequently, you may be requested to schedule multiple appointments throughout the next few days. The team at CReATe Durham Fertility will assist you in scheduling follow-up appointments.

The cycle monitoring aids in evaluating if your eggs are ready for IVF retrieval. If your doctor believes you are prepared for the surgery, your ‘Egg Retrieval’ appointment is booked within 48 hours. Please remember that your doctor may advise you to take a day off work and visit the clinic with someone.

Cycle Monitoring for Intercourse/Natural fertility, IUI, and Therapeutic Donor Insemination (TDI)

In IUI, TDI, and Natural Fertility Treatment, cycle monitoring examines egg development and recommends the best timing for insemination or intercourse. Cycle monitoring is usually done between Day 2 and ovulation. Each cycle monitoring appointment will include blood testing, an ultrasound, and, if necessary, a consultation with your fertility specialist.
